When Should I Use Images in my Posts?
I find that the best use of images are when they are directly related to what you’re writing (e.g. if you’re writing about flowers, then use images of flowers), or when they are somehow metaphorically related (e.g. I wrote an article and used the image of a boxer to go with it). This is not to say that you can’t use images otherwise, but when these situations come up, I think it is a given that you should.
Below are 4 images showing you how different sizes look in the page.
Surfer 400 pixels wide saved at 80% 22 kb
Surfer 300 pixels wide saved at 80% 14 kb
Surfer 200 pixels wide saved at 80% 9 kb
Surfer 100 pixels wide saved at 80% 6 kb
If you wanted to make a picture Gallery:
Just add your photos the same way but instead of picking full size choose the thumbnail view. Then once in your post click on the edit icon again and choose link to image.
Stock photos are an essential part of web and graphic design. There are tons of stock photos agencies that offer high quality photos, however, the price is not always affordable especially when working on a tight budget or sometimes with no budget at all. The solution in this case is finding free stock photos something that isn’t always easy, in order to make this process easier I have compiled a list with sites that offer free stock photos. Lots of these services also provide very cheap licenses for web use usually around a dollar.
