Web Marketing To Beat The Competition

Many of our clients have photos and text in PDF or other documents they want us to add to their website yet do not know how to send this to us so here is a tutorial on an easy way to do this.

Capturing a Photo or Video With Jing.

Jing is a product that can capture either a still image of anything on your screen or a recording of up to 5 minutes of your screen. Wouldn’t it be handy to show your clients how to do something, rather than just trying to explain the steps. Once you start using screen capture you wonder what you did without it. It is great for taking a picture of a website, Google earth images, or application instructions.

Jing is made by Techsmith who makes the best and most widely used professional screen capture applications. This free version is easier to use and has most of the features that you would need. Jing is also Mac or Windows compatible.

Just remember that the Internet uses a lot smaller size graphics than other programs so your capture should only be about 400 pixels wide and a maximum of 100kb in size. We can adjust the size and resolution.

Extracting and sending text.

Most of the text you want will already be in a digital format so sending it in a word format or text (prefered) format is best.

Simply open up the document you have and copy the text and then open up notepad which you will find in your accessories and then paste the relavant text into notepad and save. This will then enable us to copy and paste into your site.

Obviously if you have a picture then send us an email and attach the text file and corresponding graphic. Please just use one text file and one graphic per email.
